Some clients prefer to meet in person at our Vancouver counselling office—a quiet, comfortable space designed to support reflection and connection. Others find that online counselling offers the flexibility and privacy they need to keep therapy part of their routine.
You can choose whichever format fits your life best, and many of our clients move fluidly between both options as their schedule and comfort level change.
Whether in the room or online, our focus remains the same—to help you feel seen, supported, and understood.
Our team of compassionate counsellors offers specialized training across trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationships.
Every counsellor provides a supportive space where you can heal and grow at your own pace.
Our therapists offer choices in their different styles, approaches and availability. Our personal experiences of healing help us to know the process from both sides. We offer in-person individual counselling and couples counselling Vancouver and virtually across BC.
You may have a few questions before beginning counselling—and that’s completely natural. Here are some of the most common things people ask before their first session.
Yes. Most extended health plans cover Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs) or Canadian Certified Counsellors (CCCs). We’ll provide you with a detailed receipt that you can submit for reimbursement.
We do. Availability varies by counsellor, but we’ll work with you to find a time that fits your schedule and commitments.
Absolutely. Many of our clients appreciate the flexibility of blending in-person sessions with online therapy—choosing what feels most comfortable week to week.
It depends on your goals. Some people notice meaningful change in 6–12 sessions, while others prefer ongoing support over time. Together, we’ll review your progress and adjust your plan as you grow.
We require 48 hours’ notice for appointment cancellation or rescheduling to avoid being charged for the session. Sessions with less than 48 hours’ notice are subject to be billed at half of the session fee; sessions with less than 24 hours and no-shows are charged the full session fee. There is no penalty for changing an in-person to a virtual session, even at the last minute. You will not be charged if your therapist can book another client for that spot.
Please note that the policy is not dependent on the reason for the late cancellation, including illness, traffic, or emergencies.
You can use our online booking system to cancel or reschedule your appointment before the late cancellation period. For late cancellations, you can email, text or leave a voicemail.
Yes. We offer both ICBC and CVAP counselling.

“Turning Point Therapy is an asset to our local community. The therapists are caring and competent, and the interns are an excellent low-cost resource during hard economic times. I especially valued my experience with Rhonda. The office staff is also professional and helpful.”
