How I Work
My primary approach integrates Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS). This means we work not only with your thoughts and emotions, but also with how your experiences are held in your body and your internal system. Somatic Therapy and IFS together help us gently track patterns like hypervigilance, collapse, overworking, numbness, or internal pressure, and begin to understand what your system has been trying to manage or protect.
Somatic work helps us listen to the nervous system and build capacity for regulation and safety in the body. IFS helps us relate to the different parts of you that carry roles like the inner critic, the over-functioner, the caretaker, or the part that shuts down. As these parts are met with understanding rather than pressure, change can begin from within rather than through force.
In our work, I bring a grounded, attuned presence, and we move at a pace that respects your system. Over time, clients often experience a greater sense of internal steadiness, emotional clarity, and connection to themselves—not just as insight, but as a lived experience.
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to helping you move out of survival patterns and into a more regulated, connected, and livable experience of your life.
I draw from a variety of models, always tailoring my approach to best support your unique needs. My two primary frameworks are:
- Internal Family Systems (IFS): This compassionate, structured approach helps you explore the different, valuable parts of yourself, fostering internal harmony and self-leadership.
- Sensorimotor Psychotherapy: A somatic (body-based) approach that focuses on the powerful connection between the body and mind. We will work to heal trauma by bringing awareness to bodily sensations, supporting emotional regulation and trauma recovery.
I am also continually deepening my training in Thomas Hübl’s work on healing intergenerational trauma, which invites us to recognise and dissolve the stuck energies carried within and between us. I hold deep respect for the courage it takes to do this healing and for the profound ripple effect it has on our communities and the world.
