Who We Are
At Turning Point our counsellors are committed to providing you with a space to heal, reflect, and transform your relationship to yourself and others.
We hold true to the idea we can not take you to places we have not gone ourselves. All our therapists and Interns are committed to this value by continuing to do their own personal work and in depth training.
All therapists have been carefully selected to provide you with the skills to achieve your goals. We understand that finding the right fit in a therapy relationship is very important and provide you with a variety of backgrounds and interests to choose from.

Aron Buky-Tompa RCC Psychotherapist
Aron has worked in the fields of mental health and addictions for over 9 years. His work centres around the therapeutic power of the relationship created in session, and uses the transformative power of a real human encounter to facilitate change.
Therapy can help create a new experience of what relationships can feel like. It provides space for healing trauma, processing anxiety, and finding meaning where there was only depression. Aron's practice focuses on clear communication and radical understanding, and fostering change through the therapeutic connection.
Working through trauma is a crucial part of therapy. It involves recognizing the places we can get stuck and frozen in restricted ways of living, and using the therapeutic bond to help move beyond the defensive and protective behaviours that trauma produces. This allows us more freedom and agency to make choices and deeper connections with others.

Ella Bolourian RCC Psychotherapist
At the heart of Ella's work is the firm belief that we are all hard wired with self-righting tendencies for overcoming obstacles that block our potential for growth and healing. Ella has specialized training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), a healing-oriented, attachment-based, affectively-focused mind/body mindfulness treatment that puts neuroscience and positive neuroplasticity into clinical action.
