About Me
“I would like my life to be a statement of love and compassion -and where it isn't, that's where my work lies.” Ram Das
Consistent across my work is the belief that we come into this world whole, and that people don’t need to be fixed. As a relational therapist, I specialize in experientially working with self-discovery, relationship health, intimacy, and trauma. I find what is often missing in our lives are the deeply attuned connections where we feel seen, heard, and understood. Having those connections enables us to regulate our nervous systems and to gather enough strength to accomplish meaningful change. There is tremendous healing in slowing down to intentionally listen to your body, mind, and heart. If you are feeling stuck or dissatisfied with your life, starting therapy can be the first step towards creating transformation. In my practice I welcome all individuals, couples, and people in multi-partner/poly relationships across the entire sexuality spectrum. My work with couples aims to uncover the entrenched patterns that are continuously being triggered whether consciously or unconsciously. This allows us to acknowledge the pain of the past and to find the way into a new reality. Together we can re-wire you relationship patterns to help you move towards connection, acceptance, embodiment, and play.
“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.’’ Albert Camus
Therapeutic Approach
Operating from an intersection of attachment, neuroscience, plant medicine, and somatic frameworks, I focus on creating a safe container where we can both explore the delights and challenges of being human. The foundation of my therapeutic approach lies in identifying and integrating all the different parts that make up each person. We all contain multitudes and are in a constant process of unfolding. This type of parts work allows my clients to recover from anxiety, shame and guilt while increasing their capacity to process expansive emotions such as joy, excitement, pride, gratitude, and love. The frameworks that I integrate into my practice are Internal Family Systems (IFS), Relational Life Therapy (RLT), psychodynamic approaches and various somatic methods that prioritize focusing, attunement and embodiment.
Outside of Therapy
My curiosity has led me to study behavioural psychology, fine arts, leadership development, and neuroscience. In my previous life, I have worked with high-performance individuals as a consultant and coach. I was born in Uzbekistan and have lived on many continents, amidst many cultures. I now reside in East Van with my partner, my two kids, and our two dogs. I love anchoring myself to the present moment, whether it’s listening to records, dancing, diving into a literary novel, or trying out a new recipe. My soul sings when I am in the wild, be it the mountains, forests, or large bodies of water.
