About Me:

I am a practicum student from Adler University currently working towards the completion of my Masters in Counselling Psychology degree.

Originally from London, UK, I moved to Canada 11 years ago after graduating from King’s College London, with a degree in English Literature and Language. I pursued a career in business and human resources management, developing a passion and genuine curiosity about the individuals with whom I had the privilege of working alongside.

I believe the many years I have spent working on myself, with attention to emotional regulation, stress management, self and other acceptance, depression, and anxiety, has provided me with a foundation from which I can best serve you.

Therapeutic Approach:

My goal is to provide you with safe environment of self-exploration and discovery. I hope to be a part of your growth and development, supporting you on your journey to create long-lasting, sustainable and meaningful change that allows you to become a better version of yourself.

My approach will be active-directive, as needed, recognising the importance in relationships as being a catalyst for change. I believe the quality of our therapeutic relationship is an important part of the work we do together. You can expect a collaborative therapeutic experience that will be tailored to the unique intersectionality and contexts that are present, recognizing you as the expert of your life.

Using a Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapeutic (REBT) approach, I believe change is hard and certainly possible! At times, I will suggest tools and techniques for coping with life’s challenges so you can work on getting better, and staying better! To best serve you, I am committed to personalizing our sessions and adapting therapy to suit your unique needs and goals. I also draw from Adlerian therapy, Narrative therapy, Emotion-Focussed therapy (EFT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) to assist you in reaching your goals.

If you choose to work with me, you can expect a non-judgemental and confidential space in which you are given the opportunity to discuss your inner thoughts, feelings and experiences. I will support you and at times, challenge you so you can honestly evaluate and clarify values, meaning, motivations and what really matters to you. I will give you the space in which to work out how to best cope with the challenges you are presently experiencing and empower you to draw upon your many strengths.

I look forward to working with you.
